• Alternative image file manager?

I find the image file manager in the drag and drop editor almost impossible to use. Is there a way to select the alternative that we use for standard Joomla content editing, or maybe there's a configuration setting I have overlooked?

Thanks

Is file manager not very similiar as standard Joomla Media manager?

Hi,

Yep, it's the Joomla media manager.

    Hi,
Not in my experience. I find it absolutely frustrating and almost impossible to navigate or find anything in an large images directory.

This is the one we are used to, editing with JCE. It's fast, has directory tree and most importantly "remembers" that last directory you used.

    Hi,

you are talking about the image manager which comes as a part of JCE Pro version. We can't rely on that image manager and we can't use it. Not all the Joomla users have that editor and especially not all the users have JCE Pro editor

    Thank you for understanding!

    Igor

Thanks for the reply. I suspected as much.

Maybe consider adding an option in the configuration top select an alternative file manager, as some other extensions do,

    Cheers

    Bump this up!
The free JCE file browser also has way better abilities then the defaula joomla file manager. Sort by date most importantly. When you have a 1000 images than its rather cumbersome to use the default one.
