Showing "modify subscription" content in the confirmation page

Hi,
I'm tweaking my site to make it more user friendly.
I would like to show my subscribers info (same info that shows on subscription modification page) on the page where they confirm their subscription. That way if they see they misspelled their name or whatnot, they can change it right then and there. I tried doing it in the override by copying the modify.php code to the confirm.php, but I guess I was being too much of a newbie 🙂
any help is more than welcome!

Hello,

In the AcyMailing configuration, tab Subscription, you can choose the page the user will be redirected to after confirmation.
Simply set the URL of your modify subscription page there and it will do what you want.

The problem is the "itemID" modify subscription option doesn't seem to be anywhere in my configuration. If I make a "modify your subscription" page that is identical, would it work?

Let's say that this wasn't the right way to do it 🙂
Best solution would be to display the subscription form on this page.
This way they will be able to edit their subscription.
Another solution is to create a new menu item belonging to the subscription management page then redirect to this page once the subscription is made.

Hi Alexandre,
Do you mean the original subscription form?
Or the modify?

Ideally, when the new subscriber chooses to click on confirm in the first email,
he would go to a form that doesn't immediately confirm his subscription.
It would go to a page that shows all the info,
and the lists he's subscribed to (like the "modify subscription" page),
and below it would be "save and confirm" subscription or something.

Happy to pay someone to do this, it feels like a clean way to double check
and confirm both the subscription and the info at the same time.

Hi Alexandre thanks! But when I hover over the first box to enter the redirectoin link, a little “forbidden/no passage” icon appears in stead of my cursor. When I turn on double verification, it doesn’t and I can enter it easily. Unfortunately we are not ready to globally enable double verification. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your patience with me!

Thanks Alexandre! In the mean time I will try to use the redirection advice you gave.

@Alexandre I ran into a little snag. We don't have double-verification on, and it seems that I cannot add a redirect-after-confirmation setting unless I turn it on. We do however welcome everyone with a custom confirmation email.

Is there any way I can set the redirect after subscription without having to turn on double verification?

Hello,

The redirection link after confirmation is only available if you enable the require confirmation (double opt-in) option.
If there is no confirmation required, the user does not get a confirmation request with the possibility to be redirect to a specific page.

The option Alexandre was telling you is the second one: "Redirection after subscription".
Note that if your users subscribe via the module, then edit your module to find an option to redirect them after subscription.

Oh of course, great idea! I can redirect immediately to the "modify my subscription page"? How do I make sure the user is "logged in" correctly?
