I am now using the correct unsubscribe link in the AcyMailing newsletter, so that people who unsubscribe are unsubscribed in both AcyMailing and Elastic Email. However, I encountered another problem, which I see was referred to in a previous post:
https://forum.acymailing.com/d/1813-fix-for-unsubscribe-via-spam
When the person does not click the unsubscribe link, but rather reports the email as spam, Elastic Email somehow picks this up and unsubscribes them, giving them a "complaint" status. However, nothing happens in AcyMailing: the person remains subscribed.
The solution to this problem suggested by someone in the previous post regarding unsubscribing subscribers based on future bounced emails does not seem logical, because Elastic Email will not send emails to these people.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Also, could this overall problem be avoided by using a different Email Marketing system, such as Sendinblue or Sendgrid?
