Error connecting to bounce 365 account

Hi,
Out of the blue this morning I cannot run bounce handling because I get this error message:
Error connecting to {outlook.office365.com:993/ssl/novalidate-cert/service=imap}
Retrying PLAIN authentication after AUTHENTICATE failed.
Retrying PLAIN authentication after AUTHENTICATE failed.
Can not authenticate to IMAP server: AUTHENTICATE failed.

Did not change anything.
Any help here?

Hi,

This is probably because Microsoft is switching to modenr authentication, because of which you can't login with username/password anymore.

I am afraid that OAuth authentication hasn't been yet implemented in bounce handling yet. Our developers have this on their to-do list and hopefully, it will be available in the next version of AcyMailing

jvstratum Hi guys, any update on this? There was a new version since this post and the issue is still ongoing. We have to do bounce handling one by one, manually:-(

Hi,

Until this is added you can setup a forwarder to forward the mails from your bounce mailbox to a different mailbox and setup that one for the automatic bounce handling. It will save you time.

jvstratum Uhm, ok so this new mailbox is a non-365 kind of mailbox, right?

That's right.

You keep using the original bounce address as bounce address. Just forward incoming bounces to a non O365 mailbox and configure Acymailing to connect to this new mailbox to handle your bounces.
