I have been using ACY for over 10 years. I actually have (2) Enterprise licenses and love the product.
I use AWS SES for SMTP with ACY and works great. AWS SES is really affordable, but they have an extra charge for sending size of emails.
I have lots of clients using ACY but they are not tech people. They are uploading pngs and jpegs that are 500kb-5mb in file size. These images only need to be 600px wide and the actual size is like 3,000px and are huge.
The large images they are uploading cause the sending speed to be slow, not to mention the costs.
SOLUTION:
JCE Editor has a cool feature where when you upload a new photo to the site, it allows you to check a box to re-size the dimensions of the image. This is huge because it makes it easy to change the actual file size of the image so you are not uploading a 2mb image into the site. It down converts the image size.
Is there a way for ACY 7 editor to have a similar feature. Also is there a way to restrict png?
Also any chance you can add a media manager so I can easily create links to PDF's i need to upload. If I use the attachment feature in ACY, I have to pay for the file size. If I link to a PDF, the email size doesn't add the PDF attachment size. Not to mention, e-blasts shouldn't really have attachments. Most e-blasts you see have links to PDFs and not have an attachment tied to it.
