Change the trigger for follow up?

I have the latest, greatest AcyMailing 8.1.2. I've created a Follow Up email campaign, but realized after adding 50 emails, that I may need to change the trigger from Subscriber Creation to User Subscribe. There's a front-end module to subscribe to this email campaign. Honestly, I don't fully understand the difference between the two triggers. But there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the trigger. Do I need to go into the database?

Hi,

The trigger for user creation is not associated with any list, whereas the trigger for subscription is related to subscribing to a list. In both cases, you should be able to proceed, as the conditions tab allows you to filter users based on the lists they are subscribed to.

May I ask why you wish to change the trigger? Is something not functioning properly?

I need to change the trigger from subscriber creation to user subscribe because I have a specific follow up email campaign the user is subscribing to. Everything is functioning properly. Need to change the trigger is all.

Hi,

It appears that everything is working as expected, so there is no need to make any changes. If you are inquiring about subscribers in a specific list, you can configure this list on the Conditions tab.

I believe the complexity of the change you are attempting may be too involved for what has already been triggered and is still in progress. If you would like to confirm this, please submit a support ticket here: https://www.acymailing.com/support/.

Alternativly you can recreate your follow-up campaign with the right trigger.

Can I open this thread back up? Is there not a way to toggle the trigger to another, once the follow-up campaign is finished? Or change it in the database? I only realized that it needs to be User Subscribe, after adding 50 emails.

garrysmith33 - Found it! In database > acym_followup > SET trigger = 'user_subscribe' for the follow up campaign in question. Phew!
