On a follow up email triggered by a VirtueMArt purchase - is it possible to only have sent once?

ie they get the follow up email after their first purchase, but if they order again they do not get the follow up

Did you try to add a second filter set to did not by this product in the past 12 months or something similar?

I`m seeing an option for has bought - but no filter for has not bought?
am I missing something?

that is a big thing that is missing from the virtuemart condition option

  • exclusions
    • ie we have over 200 categories, out of those categories there are 2-3 categories we would not like included in the triggered action - but to do that instead of saying everything BUT these 2 categories it appears I need to make 198+ conditions?!

No, I think you can send more time, only you have right setup automation 🙂

    that is what i`m asking - what is the right way to set up automation so that a customer can only receive a specific triggered automation once?

    Logic:

    • after their first purchase, user will be put into acy list and then send folow up email
    • but you can don't send email after put in list, but create campaign and put this user with folow-up email to queue and second list - etc. Customer with order.
    • after send you email, you can take from second list
    • after purchase again you can setup automation and put again inside second list

    But you don't write what do you want - send other email template for second purchase?
    Then you have to do it a little bit different.

      I just need it set so that if this user orders again they are not re-added to the list and resent the initial order follow up email.

      is there a way that this email can only be sent to a customer 1 time?

      or are you saying that is automatic - if a person has already recieved the follow up email they CANNOT trigger the automation again by making a new purchase?

      Forgot about 1), change youre mind and create campaign with add to list and take from list after send folow-up
      Then you can resend folow-up multi time with trigger create order in VM .)

      We use this logic with our plugin Acymailing - Abandoned Cart for VirtueMart.
      We have three campaign:

      1. Abandoned Cart - Add to queue
      2. Abandoned Cart - Remove from queue after order completion
      3. Abandoned Cart - Remove user after sending an email

      With this logic we can repetible sending folow-up email for Abandoned Cart for VirtueMart.

        We recently purchased and installed the Acymailing - Abandoned Cart for VirtueMart plugin, but none of the triggers are showing up as options within the automation. Could you provide more info on:

        1. why the triggers aren't showing up as options within the automation settings
        2. how your abandoned cart triggers are set up
