Be careful! Update to 8.6.0 triggered birthday emails to all subscribers!!

Be super careful with the update to 8.6.0. It seems buggy and triggered my system to send out birthday emails to all subscribers.
I suggest that Acyba investigates.

@acyba I deleted my birthday newsletter and created a new one. Version 8.6.0 again immediately tried to send it. I suggest that you look into this with priority.

jvstratum Sure. But I have not patched my installation. Therefore I guess that this affects all users. I assume that this is a severe bug and therefore Acyba should in my opinion be proactive and not just deal with it as a problem of an individual.

Is it possible to downgrade? And where do I get the previous version?

We don't offer downloading old versions. I noticed youi have raised a support ticket. That's good, it's the quickest way to solve your issue.

Issue is resolved in version 8.6.1.

jvstratum Hi! Today, NO birthday email has been sent out. That is not correct either. So, I guess you should remove the "Sovled"-Tag.

mihha The support ticket is open since yesterday. Therefore version 8.6.1 has been released. No individual check at my installation was needed. Therefore a public post here would have been sufficient but on your earlier request I opened a support ticket. You could also just have worked with an internal ticket.
I also posted here to warn other users. You did not put a warning out that version 8.6.0 had a severe bug. Neither you stopped the download.

You should understand that it is VERY annoying when a system suddently sends out birthday emails to ALL subscribers.

To wrap this up, the last issue was a result of a changed user setting that caused the sending of the birthay mail one day before the birthday instead of the expected sending on the actual birthday itself.

But v.8.6.1 works after deleting the birthday campaign start all over.
