Hello,
When a user clicks on the unsubscribe link ({unsubscribe}Abmelden{/unsubscribe}) on my newsletter, the form is automatically displayed on my homepage in a part of the page that is not immediately visible, which is very user-unfriendly. In the configuration in the “Subscription” tab under “Unsubscribe”, I cannot find a way to specify that this form is displayed in a specific menu, nor can I create a menu where this form is displayed.

Example of an unsubscribe link: https://www.hdsports.at/component/acym/frontusers/unsubscribe/712-was-bringt-laeufern-eine-spiroergometrie?userId=656&userKey=qNlsJYUY3eqBYB

You first have to scroll further down until the form becomes visible.

How can i fix this?

Best regards

Hi,

Acymailing is using the website's default template to display the form. Any modules cofigured to show up on that template or modules that are cofigured to shop up on every page will be visible. Hence, you have to scroll down.

Modifying the visibility of these modules should solve the issue. Alternatively you can setup a "Modify your subscription" page and use that page instead.

Sorry, but this is user-unfriendly.

i find no way that the user see this on the top of the site, when i he clicks on the unsubscribe link:

The link goes to my front page, where i have modules over the component. This means that the modules are displayed above it. No user gets the idea that they have to scroll down for a very long time to confirm that they want to unsubscribe from the newsletter. What solution is there to ensure that this is displayed at the top?
Why can I not set anywhere that the logout link does not go to the start page, but to another menu item where I do not have a module displayed above the component.

Hi,

You can overcome this by configuring your modules to be displayed only on the pages where you want them to show up, instead of showing them on "all pages".

I don't understand her answer. The unsubscribe link always redirects to the home page. And there I have modules that are displayed ABOVE the component. And that is how it is intended. However, this means that the unsubscribe form is only displayed below the modules so that the user does not notice it. Why is it not possible for the unsubscribe form to redirect to a separate page and not to the start page?

You can't do that because there is no menu item for the unsubscribe page

Why don't you make it possible to create such a menu item?

      • mihhaSupport Beginner

Unsubscribe link is directly connected to the newsletter which is sent and newsletter list to which the newsletter is sent

You can't have a menu item for such thing

In other words, there is NO way for the form to be displayed on a page other than the home page?

What exact version of AcyMailing are you using?

I ask because in the version 9.11.0, we have introduced completely new unsubscribe page, which should be loaded separately on the full page, without any template related stuff

      I have the version 9.11.1
Where can I specify this setting?

Or i must update to 10.0.0? I received no update notification in the backend... but now i see on your website that alreaday 10.0.0 is available.

Do you have the following parameter under the Subscription tab in AcyMailing configuration?

Do you have a template override of the unsubscribe page under your Joomla template configuration?

Yes, the settings are similar. I have also played with the settings, but the link always leads to the start page.

      I don't have an override.

I have clicked on the link from the first message and I can see that this link directly unsubscribes the user instead of going to the unsubscribe page

yes, because i changed acutally the setting, because of the problem what i described here
